Total Score - Over/Under Bets

This section of the Sports Betting Tutorial discusses total score bets, also known as over/under bets. The total score, or over/under bet, is a sports bet on the combined score of both teams for the game wagered on. All totals generally lay £1.10 to win £1.00 unless otherwise indicated.

Example

You lay an american football bet of £220.00 on the Over in the Dallas v. New York football game. The total, or over/under, for the game is 45. If both teams' combined score is more than 45, then you would win £200.00. If the combined score is equal to 45, the game is considered "no action" and the money is returned. If the combined score is less than 45, then the sports wager is lost.

OVER/UNDER is the SPORT SELECT game where you decide if the total score of the two teams playing will be OVER or UNDER the 'Line'!

How to Play OVER/UNDER

  • Choose two to ten games from the Game List and mark the number of picks you wish to play.
  • Select one of two outcomes: O=Over or U=Under for each game selected.
  • Choose "O" if you believe the total score of the game will be "Over" the 'Line.' Or, choose "U" if you believe the total score will be "Under" the 'Line.'
  • The SPORT SELECT OVER/UNDER 'Line' always ends in .5 to make a clear division between OVER and UNDER.
  • You may select games from more than one sport.
  • Mark the outcomes on your OVER/UNDER
  • Wager from $2 to $100
  • Give the completed slip and your wager to the Retailer before the earliest game you selected starts.
  • For all sports except Hockey, final results include all extra play. For Hockey, final results include overtime but do not include shootouts.
  • You can also play PRO·LINE, together with OVER/UNDER, by completing a DOUBLE PLAY Selection Slip.
  • You can also play OVER/UNDER by Combo Play.

How to Win:

  • If all of your picks are correct, you win.
  • The payout is your wager multiplied by the OVER/UNDER odds of each of your picks.
  • For example: Wager x Odds Game 1 x Odds Game 2 x Odds Game 3 = Payout.
